GogebicRoots has changed. We have modified our membership system to allow access to new areas of the site. Guests can still search the obituaries, but paid members have access to the newsletters. Gogebic Roots cannot continue to exist without your monetary help and involvement. Please consider becoming a paid member. The cost is $12.00 annually for an individual membership. Family and Life memberships are also available.

Our genealogical society is dedicated to helping you find your roots on the Gogebic Range. Our obituary database contains the names of almost 65,000 residents who lived on the Gogebic Range between 1890 and the present. Hundreds of records are being added every month.

The mission of the Gogebic Range Genealogical Society
is to promote and assist with the research and preservation of genealogy and family history of the Gogebic Range area. This area encompasses Gogebic County, Michigan, and Iron County, Wisconsin.
